A few weeks ago, my friend Fif and I went to San Francisco to hang with my other friend Hannah. I'd met them both around the same time in high school, though we didn't all attend the same one, and quickly decided I wanted them to be my friends. Having two of my besties in the same physical space was almost too much awesome for me to handle! It was a total blast. A few years ago, I was bequeathed an old Ft2.
It was the first film camera I'd ever used!
Since then, I've added a Yashica MAT and a Polaroid Automatic 100 to my collection. When we left for SF, I had my polaroid and my Nikon at the ready.
I hadn't finished a roll of film in my ft2 for TWO YEARS, so I was really excited to pick the roll up today. Here are some of the photos I took from SF and before.
Some pictures of Hannah from 2012. We were shooting in Ladd Circle before getting coffee at Palio.
My Grandpa, slicin' & dicin'.
Before work sketchbooking at 3 Friends.
Marija, Martin & co. making dinner in our kitchen.
My budgies Lucy & Ethel. I caught Eth mid blink!
Marija and Jeanie's project for Renn Fayre. I was bummed this film ended up being black and white, because there was spray paint all over the grass.
Fif at a rest stop in Southern Oregon.
Hannah mugging for me in her loft.
I did an awesome art trade with the lovely Paige of tarotandtea. She read my cards in exchange for some photographs!
Fif and I had breakfast at Café International before she headed back to Sacramento for a concert.
They freeze coffee into ice cubes in decorative shapes!
Also, this mural in their back garden is amazing.
I spent the rest of the day adventuring!
I grabbed coffee at this amazing café in Hayes Valley while I waited for Hannah.
I begged Hannah to let me take her picture before she washed her makeup off for the day.
We had coffee before Fif came to pick me up.
I just *had* to take another snap of her AMAZING loft. That hammock is super comfy!
Her flatmate had a super rad collection of jazz records. These are just a few of my favorites.
PARTY & BULLSHIT.
I had an absolutely FAB time hitting the road. It's so rare that I get to indulge in such a big way!
Happy roadtripping/photographing~!
